Chimaki is a dumpling made of sticky rice wrapped in a bamboo leaf. Kashiwa-

mochi is also a rice dumpling with sweetened bean paste wrapped in an oak leaf. They are famous Japanese traditional sweets to be eaten especially in Childrens’ day. It is believed that Chimaki is a protective charm, whereas Kashiwa-mochi is a symbol of prosperity of our descendants. Hoping boys’ healthy growth and success!
