1.Area
Our focal area for guiding is Kagoshima and Kumamoto, the southern half of "Kyushu island". Here is highly blessed with warm climate, fantastic nature, hot springs (Onsen), delicious dishes, abundant history, local specialty, and of course friendly people.
We are definitely proud of our area one of the best places for tourism as well as living in Japan. You will be able to explore various aspects of deeper Japan here which you cannot reach in metropolitan areas.

【Kagoshima】
Kagoshima is located in the southern most of Kyushu island. Although it is far away from the metropolitan areas like Tokyo, here is the nearest place from Asian countries. In the past, when there was no plane, Kagoshima took a very important role as the gateway to the world. Therefore, Kagoshima has marvelous history, and pioneering spirits have been rooted in people here who genuinely contributed to Japan’s modernization 150 years ago. A lot of heritages, traditional gardens, samurai residences, various sophisticated craftwork, etc. are still preserved and open to public to tell us about great history.
We are also proud that here is full of wonderful and quite unique nature. The typical example is Mt. Sakurajima, closely located to the city center while stunningly active. You will be so moved to see the dynamism of nature here. You will also be able to enjoy the blessings of nature such as various hot springs (Onsen) including Foot Bath and Sand Bath.

【Kumamoto】
Kumamoto is located in the center of Kyushu island, and have taken an important role for the development of all Kyushu since long time ago.
Kumamoto was damaged severely by the big earthquake in 2016, however people here have made great efforts to restore the city and now there is no difficulty for traveling. Although Kumamoto castle, one of 3 most beautiful castles in Japan, is still under repair, you will get a priceless memory to see the reconstruction process of such a huge and historically important heritage.
Among a lot of wonderful scenic spots here in Kumamoto, the most recommended destinations are Aso and Takachiho (Miyazaki). You will be overwhelmed to see the beauty and magnificence of them in any season. You will also be fascinated by abundant mythologies and related tangible/intangible heritages because Takachiho is considered to be the origin of Japan. Although the public transportation there is not well equipped, we can take you various spots in both areas by car in a day trip from Kumamoto city.

2.Serving Homemade Dishes
We believe food is one of the most important factors to decide where to visit and what tour to take. Our strength is to provide homemade dishes using abundant fresh local foodstuffs.
We often invite tourists to our house during the tour and serve traditional homemade dishes with some cultural demonstrations, or bring traditional lunch boxes to eat outside. Of course we consult with tourists about food preference beforehand.
We are happy every time because all tourists with these services are so delighted to see and taste the dishes.

3.Access
There are several routes to visit Kagoshima/Kumamoto. Please make contact with us for details.
(1) Fly to Kagoshima/Kumamoto airport
Kyushu is the gateway to especially Asian countries, located very close to them, and therefore
both airports have international lines connecting with several Asian cities.
(2) Fly to Fukuoka airport and transfer by Shinkansen train
It is Japan’s 3rd biggest airport with more than 20 international lines.
After arriving at Fukuoka, you will get on the Shinkansen train, 40 minutes for Kumamoto, 90
minutes for Kagoshima.
(3) Sail to Kagoshima or Yatsushiro (Kumamoto) port
Both ports are highly utilized as one of calls for cruise ship tours. For example, Kagoshima
annually has 100 calls of cruise ships, such as Quantum of the Seas, Diamond Princess, Costa
Serena, Celebrity Millennium, Queen Elizabeth, Star Legend, etc. A lot of passengers enjoy shore
excursions during the call.
(4) Other
Of course you can visit here from other cities in Japan other than Kyushu by various means of
transportation.
